The best fried chicken wing dinner I’ve had, better than most. The yams, greens and cornbread were delish!!! I can’t wait to go back and try the pork chop and Mac n cheese!!! The service was friendly and ;simply excellent!! This is now my go to soul food place..
The food was very good. The green beans, collard greens, fried fish, turkey chops... we will be back. The candied yams were better than average. It's a place to be casual and enjoy food! Check it out.
It's soul food!! -- never to be confused with "gourmet". And my catfish dinner was just as perfectly "home cooked" as at my mom or grand-moms. The best greens I've EVER had outside of my moms house. Lastly, I was the last customer as they were closing up - yet the smiling friendly young lady invited me to sit and comfortably eat my meal whilst she packed and cleaned up! I'll be back here for sure!
This is my second visit to Marjoe's and I will definitely be returning & referring anyone & everyone who has ears to listen...lol my first visit I tried Turkey chops, yams, greens & macaroni and cheese & I'm telling you everything was soulfully delicious! Today I enjoyed fried chicken wings, cabbage & macaroni and cheese & cornbread everything was fresh & flavorful... you must stop on by and pick up a plate! #SoulfullyDelicious
Don't let the not so good comments stop you from coming to this place. The service is excellent (may take a bit, she's the only one working, be respectful), chicken and yams are AMAZING, nice atmosphere and just GREAT food overall. My favorites so far, like I mentioned Fried Chicken, Turkey Chops,Yams(yellow&white) , cabbage and Hamburgers. Get on down there and support Black Owned Family Business. I'll be back there TADAYY!!
My brother and I both enjoyed our meals thoroughly, his red snapper plate was fresh hot and tasty. My chicken breast was crisp and crunchy the portions are more than enough. The yams and greens.....proper....Mr. Joseph makes you feel welcome and is blessed to do what he does......
